We had a conversation about the Tropical Identity Crisis with Marcell Kuzder, the product development lead. We asked him to briefly tell us about the origin of the idea, what makes this product special, and what kind of experience someone can expect when opening it for the first time.



What's the main twist or uniqueness in it?


Close to 40% of the beer consists of real fruit puree, which is already quite extreme on its own. On top of this, there's the “ice cream” aspect thanks to added ice cream powder, delivering a creamier, more dessert-like experience. This results in a drink that's simultaneously tart, fruity, and smoothly creamy.


What are the key ingredients or flavor notes?


The tropical base is provided by banana, mango, passion fruit, and pineapple, all in puree form and in large quantities. These are complemented by a subtle coconut twist, adding a cocktail-like, beach ambiance to the beer. The overall impression is thick, creamy, and intensely fruity.


What experience should someone expect when tasting it for the first time?


The first sip delivers more of a smoothie or fruit puree experience than a classic beer. It's dense, full-bodied, tart, yet sweetly tropical, as if a fruit dessert and a sour ale came together. It's quite an intense item, so the first encounter is sure to be memorable.

This beer contains so much fruit that almost half of its content is practically that, making its texture much thicker than your average beer. Before consumption, it's recommended to gently shake or lightly stir the can to fully blend the fruit. This is how the smoothie character, which makes this item so unique, truly shines.
